ABOUT THE COLLECTIONS

Digitized collections of the MCoE HQ Donovan Research Library archives are a part of the Maneuver Center of Excellence Libraries Virtual Library program. The materials consist of historical collections of student papers, post newspapers, documents, yearbooks and other materials to be digitized. The collections represent the intellectual talent of research and education that Soldiers receive from the faculty, historians and staff of the US Army Infantry School and US Army Armor School and its divisions. The Library Division also partners with other organizations throughout the Installation and Worldwide. The digital collections also include donations from individuals and family members of those who served. Prior to these efforts the materials were only accessible through on-site visits. The library staff is working diligently to process, accession, catalog and store additional digital materials. The below collections are not complete. Additional items will be added to these collections in the near future.

Since 2001, selected Infantry, Armor and Marine Officers attending the Captains Career Course have written monographs describing their combat experience during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operations Other Than War, and Operations Prior to 2001. While these are not complete collections, they represent some of the more interesting and informative papers for lessons learned and training. Information is collected by the MCoE Command and Tactics Directorate (CATD) and Communicative Skills Branch.

Due to the Sunset of AKO 2.0 Knowledge Centers, the collections of Army Writing Program Papers are being added to the Joint Lessons Learned Info System (JLLIS) under the Joint Training Platform (JTP). CAC only access will be granted through registration with JTP/JLLIS. These collections will take a few days to complete. Thanks in advance for your patience.
