Description of Services: Provides education and training classes about child and spouse abuse prevention, safety education for children and pre-deployment briefings for Soldiers and their family members. Annual classes are mandatory for all military personnel on the dynamics of child and spouse abuse, the availability of treatment services and the Army’s policies regarding family violence. The FAP manager may provide crisis intervention to Soldiers and Family members in emergency situations. Cases involving family violence intervention needing long-term treatment and follow-ups are referred to Social Work Services.
