Course Description


Purpose - This is a career progression and Leader development course designed to provide Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) designated Leaders the aptitude to achieve the technical competencies of a Leader assigned to a Stryker formation. This is a three week resident course taught and uses hands-on performance oriented training and simulations as the primary teaching methods

During this three week course, the future Stryker Leader is trained in 3 areas. The Maintenance module includes: History of the Stryker, Vehicle Capability, Vehicle Formations and employment, Maintenance Supervision, Acquisition Process, Order Process, Exception Reports, Service Schedule, and employment considerations. The Training management module includes: SBCT Doctrine, Sustainment Readiness Model, UTP, Leader Development, employment doctrine and considerations, EA Development, and Fire (echelon). The Employment execution module includes: Employment vignettes, OPORD, and SVCT scenarios of offense and defense. The exams module includes: SBCT Familiarization exam, SBCT Maintenance exam, training management exam, Remote Weapons Station exam, and a Cumulative exam.
