Command Sgt. Maj. Jason P. Dein

Command Sergeant Major Jason P. Dein hails from Dededo, Guam. He enlisted in the Army on the 4th of September 1997. He completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Moore Georgia and received the MOS 11B Infantryman. CSM Dein has served in numerous leadership positions from Fire Team Leader to Regimental Command Sergeant Major.

CSM Dein's previous assignments include 1-14 IN Schofield Barracks HI, 3/325 AIR Fort Liberty NC, 4th Ranger Training Battalion, and 1-15 IN Fort Moore GA, 3-61 CAV Fort Carson CO, 1-75 CAV Fort Campbell KY, 1/1 SFAB Fort Moore GA, and 3d Cavalry Regiment Fort Cavazos TX. He has deployed to Iraq in support of OIF 3 times, and Afghanistan 2 times in support of OEF.

CSM Dein's education includes all NCOPDS schools, and he is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 67. He has completed Air Assault School, Airborne School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Pathfinder School, SHARP and the Master Resilience Trainer Course. He has obtained his bachelor's degree in liberal arts through Excelsior College.

CSM Dein's awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (2 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (6 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6 OLC), the Combat Infantryman's Badge, Expert Infantryman's Badge, Ranger Tab, Master Parachutist's Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge and various other awards and ribbons for service and dedication to the Army.

CSM Dein has been married for nineteen years to his wife Araseli. They have one daughter, Isabella.
