The mission of the Infantry Branch History Division is to support the Infantry Commandant as the Chief of Infantry and the Commandant of the Infantry School. The division staff provides researched answers to questions regarding History and supporting doctrine from within, and without, the United States Army regarding the Infantry and the Infantry School throughout History to the present day. Acts as the Deputy Historian (Infantry) for the Maneuver Center of Excellence.
