Outcomes:

• Serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert on the Simulator with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex malfunctions that occur in the M1A2 SEP Tank, MGS and CFV simulator.
• Serve as Simulations Training Manager that understands the emphasis on preliminary gunnery training, tank gunnery standards, that sustains and improves a crew’s gunnery proficiency.
• Serve as Simulations Training Manager with Unit Training Management procedures.
• Demonstrate professional confidence in application of skills and knowledge fundamental of building Gunnery exercises within the limitations of the simulator.
• Demonstrate professional confidence in application of skills and knowledge fundamental of Section and Platoon Gunnery.
• Demonstrate professional confidence in application of skills and knowledge fundamental of un-stabilized support platforms.

Scope: The Simulations Training Management Course accomplishes its mission by focusing curriculum on being a Technical Subject Matter Expert on the Simulators with the ability to: identify and troubleshoot complex malfunctions that occur in the Abrams, Mobile Gun System (MGS), Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV), and develop a simulation gunnery program for Armor Soldier development.

1. IO Proficiency: Students will be evaluated on ability to apply advanced gunnery methodology, doctrinal, and technical procedures to assess crew’s, manage training records, troubleshooting the simulator, react to emergency malfunctions, recover from a catastrophic power failure and perform maintenance.
2. Un-stabilized Gunnery Simulation: Trains advanced gunnery methodology, doctrinal, and technical procedures needed to assess crew proficiency, identify crew procedural errors and develop scenarios for the unit.
3. Simulations Training: Trains as a Technical Subject Matter Expert on the Simulator with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex malfunctions that occur in the Abrams, MGS and BFV simulator. Ability to apply advanced gunnery methodology, doctrinal, and technical procedures to assess crew’s Proficiency. Application of skills and knowledge fundamental of building Gunnery exercises within the limitations of the simulator.
4. Gunnery Training Management: Trains Battle Focused Training management procedures with the main emphasis on simulations tank gunnery standards, preliminary gunnery training, supervised decentralized instruction, assessment of unit's strong areas and weak areas, and development of a three month gunnery program that sustains and improves unit tank gunnery proficiency.
5. Exportable Training Package: Students will be able to teach, train and evaluate on ability to apply advanced gunnery methodology, doctrinal, and technical procedures to assess crew's, manage training records, troubleshooting the simulator, react to emergency malfunctions, recover from a catastrophic power failure and perform maintenance

Training Management:

• Provides students an introductory level understanding of how to build Company and Battalion level training plans to meet the Required Performance Measures (RPM) prior to live fire training events.
• Certifies students to conduct exportable training packages as they relate to simulations i.e. Track Crew Progression, COFT/AGTS Instructor Operator, PAAR training.
